A Professional, Stress-Free Photography Experience
At Doug Dienelt Photography, we understand that photo week, team sessions, and performance shoots are big moments -not just for dancers and athletes, but for studios and families too. Our process is built to be efficient, organized, and easy, so you can focus on your performers while we focus on capturing their best.
Step 1:
Planning & Scheduling
We start by working closely with studio owners, coaches, or team directors to understand your goals, timelines, and logistics. Whether you’re scheduling an in-studio photo week or recital coverage, we’ll create a custom plan that fits your needs. To ensure a smooth picture day, we also provide a custom postcard for parents and a lobby sign to help gather parent and student information. If you’re able to provide that information directly, we can simplify the process and skip the postcards and sign.

Step 2:
On-Site Setup
We bring everything needed for a full professional studio experience, lights, backdrops, camera gear, and support equipment. We’ll arrive early to set up and make sure everything is ready to go before the first person steps in front of the lens.

Step 3:
Organized Photo Day
Photo sessions run on a tight, easy-to-follow schedule designed to keep things moving while giving each dancer the attention they deserve. We make sure every shot captures both technique and personality. On picture day, our large posing banners provide last-minute confidence and inspiration, helping everything run even faster. We can photograph participants in any order, with staff or coaches assisting or we can step in directly. Plus, our on-set screen displays images instantly, giving the dancers and staff immediate feedback – a crowd favorite every time.

Step 4:
Online Proofing & Ordering
After picture day, we begin processing right away, reviewing every image and making any needed adjustments. Within 14 days or less, all photos are uploaded to a secure online gallery where dancers, athletes, and families can view their proofs and select from a variety of print and digital packages. Our platform makes it simple to choose favorites, place orders, and receive finished products quickly. As soon as the gallery is ready, we send parents all the details they need to access their private galleries.
